ASUS’ ROG sub-brand might be, according to some people, the most popular PC gaming brand out there. Or, at least, it’s up there with names like Razer. Now, ASUS has just announced a new range of peripherals, and they all look pretty good.
ASUS has just unveiled a new series of PC peripherals belonging to the ROG range. And there’s a lot of stuff to look at here. We have the ROG Azoth X, for one. It’s a 75% mechanical keyboard that features keycaps with a three-sided translucent design intended to enhance those RGB lights, in case you’re into that. The keycaps are dye-sublimated with the ROG Stellar theme on the front and top surfaces. The keyboard itself supports 2.4GHz wireless via ROG SpeedNova technology for low-latency connection. It also features Bluetooth connectivity, allowing pairing with up to three devices simultaneously. And if you’re not into Bluetooth, you can just use this and charge it with a wired USB connection.
Internally, the keyboard utilizes a south-facing PCB design for broader switch compatibility. It incorporates a gasket mount system along with five layers of dampening material (one silicone, four PORON) and an FR4 positioning plate, aiming to improve the typing sound and feel. The Azoth X comes equipped with hot-swappable ROG NX Snow Mechanical Switches V2—since they’re hot-swappable, you can just get new switches if you don’t like the ones ASUS put in here. It also has a display capable of showing system information and keyboard status indicators. And just aside, we have a three-way control knob for adjusting keyboard settings. The keyboard package includes an extended silicone wrist rest designed to match its dimensions. For any adjustments, it offers two pairs of keyboard feet which provide a total of three distinct tilt angles.

Of all the features you could want in a mechanical keyboard, make sure this is one of them.
If you want a mouse to go with that, the ROG Keris II Origin is a good option. It’s fairly lightweight, weighing in at 64 grams. It uses ROG Micro Switch II switches, rated for a 100-million-click lifespan. For tracking, we have a ROG AimPoint Pro optical sensor, offering a resolution of up to 42,000 DPI and the ability to track your mouse even on glass surfaces—so if you forgot to buy a mousepad, you should be good to go with this unit nonetheless. Like the Azoth X, the Keris II Origin offers tri-mode connectivity: wired USB, Bluetooth, and 2.4GHz RF. The latter is handled, too, by the ROG SpeedNova technology. You can pair this bad boy with the separately sold ROG Polling Rate Booster, enabling polling rates up to 8K Hz.
Other announcements include a new finish for the ROG Scabbard II mousepad as well as a new Moonlight White color scheme for the ROG Delta II headphones. The big news here is both the keyboard and the mouse, and both of them look really, really nice for your next gaming rig.
